We are extremely proud to present a Danish mini tour with the incredible bagpipe player Brìghde Chaimbeul in collaboration with Copenhagen-venue ALICE. This tour is part of both our autumn concert series on Fanø and Fanø Free Folk Mondays at ALICE in Copenhagen.

Selected Womex 2020 Showcase Artist, Winner of the 2019 BBC Radio 2 Horizon Award, and 2016 BBC Radio 2 Young Folk award Brìghde Chaimbeul is one of Scotland’s most exciting young musicians. A native Gaelic speaker, her style is rooted in her indigenous language and culture, but draws inspiration from a variety of piping traditions such as from Cape Breton, Eastern Europe and Ireland.

Don’t miss her when she plays an acoustic performance in Sønderho Church on 18. October. The day after Copenhagen gets the chance when she performs at ALICE for a special edition of Free Folk Mondays. In Copenhagen she is supported by Ymers Pizza – a.k.a. Maria Bertel (Selvhenter, Eget Værelse).
